Apply for our Pilot Group!

The Learning by Hearings team needs your help to improve our materials, enhance the teacher and student experience, and create great new resources!  We need Michigan high school social studies teachers to help shape how we develop and refine our materials. Apply today to be part of our paid pilot group for the 2026-27 school year.

We’re looking for teachers who:

• Teach at least 2 sections of non-AP U.S. history or civics per semester

• Work in a Michigan public or charter school

• Are passionate about innovation in education

• Can commit to a full year of participation

Each semester, participants will:

• Teach at least 2 LbH lesson plans and complete brief pre- and post-surveys

• Join 2 virtual one-hour group meetings with the LbH team (Fall dates: Sept 16 and Dec 16, 2026, 3:30–5:00pm; Spring dates: Jan 27 and May 26, 2027 3:30-5:00pm)

• Participate in 2 virtual 30-minute individual check-ins

• Submit examples of student work and administer a brief student survey before and after each lesson
